>> The Politics and Culture

I asked Valentino Bellucci, a lecturer in philosophy and also an expert in video / Theatre, a reflection, a thought on "Politics and Culture." I was pleased to read this note, we say "unusual". I hope that could be of interest.

Policy aims at what? Public welfare. And culture? To make each man more free. Answers
summary, yes, but that may indicate a road, a point of reflection. Based on these responses, there should be a political and cultural pre-established harmony, a parallel work and mutual support for growth and prosperity of a community.

Plato did not think so, especially with regard to the artists of Poetry, banished from his ideal Republic. It is more fruitful to follow another greek philosopher Aristotle, Damone, who wrote: "... we must be sure to do as the face of extreme danger to changes by introducing a new genre of music: because in no case will change the way music without compromising the highest laws of the city .... " The music for the Pythagorean strand and powerful than acts on the soul, so you can make a person a virtuous or a criminal ... In fact, the culture (musical and otherwise) has always had an impact on individual and community effects which then spread into the political dimension. So the problem exists.

But can a certain policy to decide which culture is virtuous or harmful?
The question reminds us of the cultural standardization practiced by totalitarian regimes.

Yet the cultural industries today (if you will, also identified as a power) does the same thing?
And the TV, how much responsibility has approval?
